Press info:Mozaic is an abstract strategy board game that will capture you with its unique game play . . . one may also place, move and/or remove the opponent's pieces! To balance that, one may also score points for the opponent. Mozaic is a very interactive game as players always influence each other's placement and score. Be prepared for 40 minutes of close-quarters battle to outmanouver the opponent for the most points. Mozaic has an original and very interesting difference to most other abstract strategy games . . . one blind draws a stone from the bag and places it on the board regardless of whose stone it is. Players take turns drawing and placing stones on the board one at a time . . . scoring 4 points when 4 of their stones form a square, no matter who placed the stone. Besides the player stones, there are 4 exception stones in the bag. Red: miss your turn. Black: take two turns. White: remove any stone from the board and return it to the bag. Green: slide any stone diagonally one space onto an empty tile. When any one of these special stones is drawn, the player completes the action and returns it to the bag. Players score points when their stones form squares and play ends when the board is full and only the 4 exception stones remain in the bag. Mozaic relies on some very simple rules to create it's challenge and is appropriate for young players but scales nicely to older players. A game of recreation using luck of the draw, tactics, placement, movement and point accumulation with a second tier that becomes apparent later in the game. A game for 2 players and for all the ages played on a tiled board with 1 diamond, 1 ruby, 1 onyx, 1 emerald, 33 cobalt and 33 amber gem-stones with a velour bag. A game of 1,000 steps begins and ends with just one gem and, win or lose, it's in the bag!
