Press info:The Spanish Civil War shattered the 18 years of uneasy peace that had prevailed in Europe since the Great War. It started as a straightforward coup d'etat by the military that should have been over in one day. Instead, the conflict lasted three years and claimed over a million lives. Whether through their wish to contain t he fighting or as a cynical exercise in power politics, the other European powers found themselves drawn into the war as well, and the whole continent teetered on the brink of war.

¡Arriba España! is a simulation game on the Spanish Civil War of 1936-9. The game is for two players, one representing the left-wing coalition government of the Spanish Republic (the Government Player), and the other the alliance of right-wing forces that rose in revolt against it (the Rebel Player).
